Dr. Mackenzie Jeffers
Medical Director
Dr. Mackenzie Jeffers has been a dedicated veterinarian since graduating from the UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Before earning her veterinary degree, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at UW-Eau Claire in 2003.
As Medical Director at Eau Claire Animal Hospital, Dr. Jeffers brings a special interest and expertise in ultrasound, enhancing diagnostic precision and care for her patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Jeffers enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children. She also has a passion for the outdoors and can often be found hiking, biking, or exploring nature.
Dr. Cynthia Mather
Dr. Cynthia Mather has been a trusted veterinarian for over three decades. She graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1989. After practicing in Illinois for five years, she moved to Wisconsin and joined Eau Claire Animal Hospital full-time in 1994.
Dr. Mather has a special interest in exotic medicine and is the go-to veterinarian for unusual pets, bringing a wealth of experience and compassion to her work.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Mather is married to Steven Abraham and is the proud mother of her son, Ethan. She enjoys singing and playing the French horn as part of her church praise team, caring for her many animals, and spending quality time with her family. Her hobbies include gardening, biking, sewing, and kayaking.
In 2010, Dr. Mather was honored to be commissioned into the Army Reserve Veterinary Corps as a captain, further exemplifying her dedication to veterinary medicine and service.
Dr. Rebecca Frank
Dr. Rebecca Frank is a compassionate and enthusiastic veterinarian who joined Eau Claire Animal Hospital after earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. She previously graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology.
Originally from Minnesota, Dr. Frank fell in love with the Eau Claire area during her undergraduate years and is excited to serve the local community. She is currently exploring special interests in surgery, ultrasound, and dentistry, and is eager to continue growing her expertise in these areas.
In her free time, Dr. Frank enjoys reading, hiking, and anything related to music, especially playing the piano.
Dr. Devin Hundt
In his free time Dr. Hundt enjoys spending time with his dog Layla (mixed breed, adopted from Milwaukee) and his girlfriend. He also is active community organizations and volunteers with “Community Paws”, an animal welfare and domestic violence advocacy organization based in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Julie
Certified Veterinary Technician
Julie grew up in Afton, MN. She graduated from Globe University in Woodbury, MN, in 2016, with an associates degree in Veterinary Technology. She performed her internship with Eau Claire Animal Hospital in October of 2016. She was hired as Certified Veterinary Technician in December of 2016.
She currently lives in Strum, WI where she bought a house with her husband, Kye. Julie enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her Dachshund, Lucy and Sheltie mix, Hank.
She loves her job as a Veterinary Technician and enjoys the challenges and rewards that each day brings!
Alicia
Certified Veterinary Technician
Alicia started her adventure at ECAH as an intern. Once she graduated from Globe University, in June of 2016, she was hired on as a receptionist and Certified Veterinary Technician. She loves caring for and working with all the special and unique animals that come into the clinic.
When Alicia is not at work, she is enjoying life as a mother to her son, Christian and daughter, Victoria.
As a family they love spending time with all their critters which includes: 3 dogs(Apollo, Titan, & Zanna), 3 cats(Branch, Poppy & Tony), Bearded dragon (Wendy), and snake (Raspberry).

Samantha
Certified Veterinary Technician
Samantha started at Eau Claire Animal Hospital in 2010 as an animal caregiver. That sparked her desire to pursue her associates degree to become a Certified Veterinary Technician – she graduated from Globe University in 2015. She left for a year to work in emergency veterinary medicine near the Madison area but returned to the clinic that always felt like home. Samantha’s favorite part of her job is the patient care- she loves ensuring your pets have the most exceptional care and are as comfortable as they possibly can be from the time they enter our doors to when they leave.
In 2022 she became a Registered Dental Hygienist and works at a local dental office full time but still manages to remain on staff here one day a week to see and care for her pet patients.
When she is not working she enjoys every moment with her husband (Josh), their two human children (Landon and Emmett) and one pup (Ellie).
Rachel
Certified Veterinary Technician
Rachel graduated from Northwood Technical College in 2022 and became a Certified Veterinary Technician later that year. Rachel grew up and currently lives in Menomonie with her soon-to-be husband, Jake, and their pets. Rachel’s favorite part of her job is patient care, especially for senior pets. Ensuring all pets feel safe and well-loved while they are in the hospital.
Marissa
Technician Assistant
Marissa was born and raised in Kenosha, WI. At a young age she knew she wanted to work with animals. She started school at NorthCentral Technical College’s Agriculture Center of Excellence in Wausau, WI. There she discovered a passion for small and large animal practice. She graduated in 2020 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Dairy Science. Shortly after she moved to Eau Claire and started at ECAH as a Veterinary Assistant but plans to take the VTNE to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.
In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities and doing arts and crafts. She dreams of owning a house one day with enough land for farm animals and as many cats and dogs as she wishes.
Megan
Technician Assistant
Megan has been with ECAH since 2019. She started in the kennels and is now working as a veterinary assistant. When she’s not at work she’s either working at Allied, dog sitting, or taking care of her own zoo of animals (2 dogs – Lando and Benny (and her parents dogs, Dolly and Axl), 2 Leopard Geckos – Coconut and Mango, a bearded dragon – Ridoc, 3 guinea pigs – Lilo, Stitch, and Greta, and her 2 rabbits – Martha May and Cindy Lou). She is also currently going to school for Vet Tech.
Brynn
Technician Assistant
Brynn loves caring for animals and it has been a passion of hers for as long as she can remember. Brynn was born and raised in Eau Claire and has been around dogs for her entire life, which inspired her early on to pursue a career in veterinary care. She loves being able to help animals in any way she can and supports both patients and their owners with compassion and patience. Brynn is currently working toward becoming a certified veterinary technician and is always excited to learn new skills and grow in this field. Outside of work, Brynn enjoys wake-surfing, boating, shopping, spending time with her boyfriend, Alan, and taking her dog Maggie on adventures.
Beata
Technician Assistant
Beata started at ECAH in August of 2025 as a veterinary assistant. She graduated from UW-Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in English, but some years later decided to pursue a career as a certified veterinary technician and is currently going to school at Northwood Technical College. In her free time, Beata likes to read, write poetry, cuddle with her 2 cats and dog, and play drums as a member of the band The What-have-yous.
Taylar
Technician Assistant
Taylar graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN, in 2019, with an associate degree in veterinary technology. She moved to Eau Claire and started working at Eau Claire Animal Hospital in November 2025. She got her certification in 2022 in Minnesota and is currently working on getting it transferred to WI. In Taylar’s free time she enjoys camping with her fiancé, Josiah, and her two dogs (Sparrow and Turner).
